Vast and Infinite

Even though inflation seems to be spooling up right now, in the long view, prices for basic goods and services have gone down in the past and eventually will go down to the point where there’s no point in even charing for them. We’re still a long way off from that day, but you can see signs of it coming already. For instance Boing Boing is reporting a coffee shop in Canada where customers pay on the honor system. It’s just not worth it to them to count the money. Amazingly, despite some cheating, they’re ahead by 3% overall.
